What Studle keeps about you, what the ads on the site do, and how to get your data deleted.
Last updated 17 October 2026
Playing without an account
You can play Studle without signing up. Your best streak and recent results are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device, and never sent to us. When you start and finish a run, the game tells our server so it can check scores; runs without an account are deleted after three days.
Your account
If you create an account, we store:
- your email address, used to sign you in and to send password reset links,
- your username, which is shown publicly on the leaderboards,
- your password, stored only as a salted scrypt hash, never in plain text,
- your scores and best streak, for the leaderboards.
Signing in sets one cookie, studle_session, which keeps you signed in for up to 60 days. It is needed for the account to work and is not used for anything else.
The contact form
When you send a message, we receive your name (if you give one), your email address, your message and the IP address it came from. It reaches us by email through our mail provider, Resend. We only use it to reply and to block spam.
Server logs and backups
Like most websites, our server records technical details of requests, such as IP addresses and the pages asked for, to keep the site running and to stop abuse. These logs are kept for a limited time. The database is backed up every night and each backup is kept for 14 days.
Advertising and cookies
Studle is free and paid for by ads served by Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's My Ad Center. You can opt out of some other vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you'll be asked for your consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy link that message adds to the page. Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
The site's fonts also load from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when your browser fetches them.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. That removes your email address, username, password and scores straight away; they drop out of the nightly backups within 14 days. Your local stats can be cleared by clearing this site's data in your browser. For anything else, or to ask what we hold about you, get in touch.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
